We are incredibly honored to be hosting a gathering with elder Stephen Jenkinson from Canada, a cultural worker, teacher, award-winning author, farmer, ceremonialist, storyteller, and creator of the Orphan Wisdom School. This event is highlighted by two 2-hour sessions of deep inquiry with Stephen on village-mindedness, matrimony, and the work of re-making culture. Inspired by the rich time spent sharing this land with and learning from Stephen and his wife Nathalie, and diving into his new book Matrimony: Ritual, Culture, and the Heart’s Work, we extended the invitation for Stephen to share some of his insights with our community, hoping that many others can also be as moved by Stephen’s wit and wisdom as we have been. This will be an all-day gathering, summoning the spirit of The Village - the receiving of the wisdom of elders and the sharing of stories, dance, song, and sacred foods.
